From Tejarcillos to FIMRC: A Costa Rican Physician’s Journey of Perseverance

Born and raised in Tejarcillos de Alajuelita, a community that has long faced social and economic challenges, Dr. Jiménez’s story is one of determination and belief. Despite limited opportunities, he grew up in a family where love, discipline, and faith guided every decision. His parents instilled in him and his sister the conviction that education and hard work could change the course of their lives.

With persistence and countless hours of study, Andrés turned that conviction into reality. Today, he not only serves as a dedicated physician at FIMRC Alajuelita, but also as a role model for the next generation, showing that one’s origins never define one’s future.
