FIMRC Chapters

Committed to FIMRC's Mission On Campus and Abroad

Chapters lie at the heart of FIMRC’s mission to provide medical care to children worldwide and FIMRC’s network is extending across the United States and internationally with more than 60 active chapters. FIMRC chapters play a number of vital roles including raising funds for special medical projects, coordinating volunteer groups to travel to our clinic sites, raising awareness of public health, and providing service in their own communities. Through their efforts, chapters of every size have directly contributed to the health of thousands of children worldwide.

A chapter is made up of individuals committed to serving as FIMRC’s voice in their region. Each chapter is established by a group of officers who lead their peers in service projects which may include holding fundraisers, conducting donation drives, or coordinating community service events. Through our Global Health Volunteer Program, chapter members may travel to our sites to provide hands-on assistance to our field staff. Chapter members gain invaluable experience working alongside health professionals, leading health education sessions for international communities, and forming unforgettable memories and skills that last a lifetime. Chapter members also create a lasting impact at FIMRC sites by participating in the Adopt-A-Project program, through which chapters take ownership of specific initiatives at sites.

Serve your Community, Serve the world

  • Advocate. Promote our mission and raise awareness of global health in your community.

  • Serve. Both domestically and at our project sites, FIMRC chapter members make an impact on their local community and on the global community through their volunteer work.

  • Fundraise. FIMRC’s Adopt-a-Project program gives chapters the opportunity to fundraise for items at our project sites such as mosquito nets, water filters, and portable generators. These projects make a direct impact on the communities we serve.

  • Develop. Follow your passion for helping others while growing both personally and professionally through our Chaptership Program. Transform your global perspective through our volunteer trips year round, develop relationships and network through service in your community, and gain valuable leadership skills.

“My time as FIMRC president allowed me to develop my own unique leadership style while shaping my long term career goals. Leading meetings and spring break trips gave me the experience I needed to be confident in my future endeavors.” – Nicole Cooper, Clemson University FIMRC
