Join FIMRC’s Summer International Health Fellowship and spend 4 weeks working on the frontlines of community health initiatives in Peru or Uganda.

Choose Your Impact Destination

🇵🇪 Peru – Huancayo

You will support rural clinics, shadow providers, and assist in public health campaigns addressing chronic disease, maternal care, and more.

📍Includes housing, meals, transport, insurance, and program donation

Trip Cost: $250 deposit + $3,749 

Regular program span for 4 weeks.

Your program fee includes:
  • Work alongside hospitals, clinics, and universities in underserved areas
  • Participate in health screenings, medical trainings, and natural medicine workshops
  • Provide education on hygiene, nutrition, and maternal care
  • Live with a host family and experience Quechua and Andean culture
  • Ideal for volunteers interested in holistic and preventive care approaches
  • Sample activities: health fairs, school sessions, hospital shadowing

🇺🇬 Uganda – Bududa

Collaborate with local teams on HIV education, nutrition programs, and maternal-child health while gaining hands-on experience in mobile clinics and outreach initiatives.

📍Includes lodging, meals, airport pickup, transport, insurance, and program donation

Trip Cost: $250 deposit + $3,249 

The following cost structure reflects individual participation in the Global Health Volunteer Program at Project Bududa:

  • Support a 24/7 health center with outpatient, maternal, and HIV care
  • Engage in mobile clinics, patient education, and malaria prevention
  • Work on women's saving groups and orphan support initiatives
  • Learn from Ugandan clinicians and FIMRC's outreach team
  • Ideal fro those seeking deeper exposure to community-based healthcare
  • Sample activities: consults, outreach days, health educator training
