As a refugee living in Costa Rica, Juana’s dog bite wound went untreated because she didn’t know where to access medical care. Then she found FIMRC’s Project Alajuelita clinic. From that point on, this widow, single mom, and all-around resilient soul began a new journey of healing.
“I have always been fascinated by medicine and helping others brings a warmth to my soul that could not be brought about in any other way, that’s why I chose to volunteer with FIMRC.” Shannan Lowe gives her inside perspective on volunteering at FIMRC’s Project Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu, India.
Our corporate partners are essential to FIMRC’s work to improve healthcare for children and families worldwide. Each partner brings a unique perspective as well as essential skills and experties to further our mission.
