FIMRC is excited to announce that enrollment for the 2017 Summer International Health Fellowship (SIHF) is now open! The SIHF program is a four to eight week immersion and service program designed for undergraduate students pursuing health professions and recent graduates interested in medical school, nursing school, or physician assistant studies. First and second year medical students are also welcome.
The program requires a four to eight week commitment and offers participants a well rounded itinerary that includes: clinical exposure in medical facilities, community outreach and health education initiatives, as well as an independent project that that is developed throughout summer. The fellowship is available in the following locations: India, Uganda, the Philippines, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua.
The program is divided into two 4-week summer sessions. Participants may choose to participate in one or both sessions.
- Session I: June 3 - July 1
- Session II: July 1 - July 29
