A Season of Gratitude

Grate·ful (Adjective): Feeling or showing an appreciation of kindness; thankful

Synonyms: Pleased, thankful, gratified

Thanksgiving; a time when friends and relatives in the United States come together to celebrate and express their gratitude. There is often turkey, mashed potatoes, pie, and maybe even some scouting for Black Friday deals. At FIMRC, we also enjoy these traditions, but we are sure to take time to appreciate the support from our staff, volunteers, donors, and chapters around the world. We could not do what we do without such hard-working partners, and we cannot thank you all enough!

On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving festivities, the gratitude continues on "Giving Tuesday," an international day to kick off the charitable holiday season. This day is dedicated to helping others through offerings of time, donations, and advocacy. We humbly request our FIMRC family to consider making an impact through our Foundation! This year, your donations will directly impact our community in La Merced as we prepare to launch an Anemia Screening Program in Peru. Your donations will help to get this program off the ground by funding a testing meter to screen for iron levels, as well as additional supplies for testing.

We are so grateful for all that we have accomplished with the help of many. We are also grateful for the opportunity to continue impacting the lives of under-served communities around the world!
