Happy Earth Day, everyone! Hope the weather has been wonderful enough to christen the day, wherever you might be. In honor of the day, here's a PSA to show you just how easy it is to do your part to keep our planet clean.

- 12th World Bank President confirmed-April 16, 2012: Did you hear? Celebrated global health leader and Dartmouth President Dr. Jim Yong Kim was confirmed this past week as the 12th World Bank President over qualified candidates from Nigeria and Colombia. - National Volunteer Week: April 15-21, 2012. This annual event, spearheaded by the HandsOn Network, recognizes volunteers from all over the country and further promotes the importance of continuing to emphasize volunteerism. We at FIMRC, of course, recognize our volunteers as a vital part of our global efforts this week and every other week in the year as well!

- The FIMRC Connection: April 23rd, 2012. FIMRC Chapters will hear from The FIMRC Connection tomorrow! This will continue to serve as a way to keep all chapters in sync, to share wonderful updates from our chaptership program, to recognize those who have gone above and beyond, and to be an easy way to stay informed with the national office!
- World Malaria Day: Wednesday, April 25, 2012. "...A day for recognizing the global effort to provide effective control of malaria."-World Health Organization. And stay tuned this week...we'll try to share some important information to you, as malaria is a very real problem in many, many underserved communities throughout the world (an understatement, really).
