2010-2011 highlights:
- Sent two members during January 2011
- Chapter volunteered at Villanova’s Special Olympics, the largest annual student-run Special Olympics event in the world. Twenty members volunteered and the chapter provided athletes with apple cider and baked goods to enjoy in between and after events
- Chapter participated in the Activities Forum on campus, which provided the chapter with the opportunity to recruit new members and spread the word about FIMRC. Ten members volunteered at this event and received interest from over 100 students!
- Chapter held meetings every three weeks, during which they worked to coordinate mission trips, brainstorm t-shirt designs to be used for a fundraiser, and began preparations for their Adopt-A-Project
Chapter accomplishments:
- Sent two chapter members to volunteer internationally at FIMRC’s clinic site in Costa Rica in October 2008
- Maintained active membership of over 50 students
- Sent two chapter members to volunteer at FIMRC’s Costa Rica project
- Held donation drives to collect dental hygiene supplies, vitamins, and other supplies for FIMRC’s clinic in Costa Rica
- Organized a fundraiser dance party on campus which raised over $200 for the purchase of medical supplies at FIMRC’s clinic in Alajuelita, Costa Rica
- Sent groups of chapter members to volunteer at the School of the Future in Philadelphia in 2008-2009
- Collected over 500 toothbrushes and other dental supplies for distribution to children visiting FIMRC’s clinics in El Salvador and Uganda
