2010-2011 highlights:

• Chapter applied for and was granted recognition and funding by the Student Finance Board; funds will be used to bring in several public health speakers to campus to raise awareness and share personal experiences of global health issues
• Co-sponsored an international coffee house night with Union Latina and Residential Life
• Partnered with Terhune Orchards to help out on the farm during the fall festival season in return for fundraising
• Worked with campus bus transportation and held can-shaking events to raise funds
• Hosted a public health trivia game to increase awareness of countries in which FIMRC has established clinics; questions were formed based on data from sources such as the World Health Organization and Center for Disease Control
• Held a school supplies and Spanish children’s book collection for schoolchildren in Huancayo, Peru
• Raised supplies for Project Limon in Nicaragua
• Sent groups of members to Peru in January 2010 and 2011; sent group of five to Nicaragua in May 2011
