2010-2011 highlights:
- Maintains membership of approximately 100
- Sent ten chapter members on a volunteer mission to FIMRC’s site in Costa Rica and Uganda in January 2011
- Organized and implemented health education programs for children at local community centers and schools
- Sponsored an AidsArtSale fundraiser on campus to support women and children in South Africa
- Organized toy and supply drives, with collected items brought with volunteers to Peru and Costa Rica
Chapter accomplishments:
- Sent five chapter members on a volunteer mission to FIMRC’s site in Peru in December 2009
- Sent two chapter members on a volunteer mission to FIMRC’s clinic site in Costa Rica in January 2009
- Hosted a Cornell faculty member to speak at a chapter event about child malnutrition in developing countries
- Volunteered locally at a free community clinic
- Assisted medical staff at local free clinic twice a month
- Volunteered in groups at regional medical center
- Hosted campus discussion about healthcare worldwide
- Organized group of six volunteers on a mission trip to FIMRC’s site in Costa Rica in January 2008
- Organized group of seven volunteers on a mission trip to FIMRC’s site in Peru in June 2008
