Chapter Accomplishments:
- Maintained mailing list of over 50 members
- Sold scrubs as part of an annual fundraiser to cover costs for volunteer mission trips
- Sold handmade jewelry from Colombia to fundraise for volunteer mission trips
- Purchased medical supplies and collected donations of vitamins for FIMRC clinical sites
- Sent three chapter members on an international mission trip to FIMRC’s hospital site in Huancayo, Peru
- Held a “Spring into Activism” fundraising event to connect with other on-campus service groups and raise awareness about FIMRC’s mission.
- Won a Brandeis Pluralism Alliance grant to present a campus photo exhibit about past volunteer mission trips to FIMRC’s Project Peru.
- Held discussion panel on international healthcare disparities
- Made presentation for Latin American Studies department
- Sold 70 sets of Brandeis logo scrubs as fundraiser
- Organized a group of 15 volunteers for a mission trip to FIMRC’s site in Costa Rica in April 2008
